Lonely Tree

“With the wind”  said me the lonely tree..

It was noon and the sun seems to be pausing in his journey across the vast blue sky, the roads were empty and silence filled the air, we continued driving around, taking in the sights of the beautiful landscape which gave a treat of green to our eyes. This is the road to the KASS PLATEAU. As we kept driving, I saw a blur image of a lonely tree which was getting cleared as we moved further, with a vast land holding it all alone. Even the most careful travelers occasionally find themselves getting lost in the beautiful scenery, so for me it was but obvious to get mesmerized  and lost.  As the scene neared to my vision, I jumped on my seat and asked my friend to stop  the car. I was speech less to see the magnificent scenery and I kept telling myself  that “yes this is for real, not a western art painting or a poetry”, but I could not stop myself from imagining stories, painting or even trying to create a  poem, I was just swimming in the sea of the inventiveness.

DANCING ABHINAYA- A SPIRITUAL CONNECTION

An eminent Kuchipudi dancer, an art, design and media lecturer, a Guinness Book of World Record holder –  Abhinaya Nagajothy.

Abhinaya is a charming and down to earth girl and undoubtedly an amazing Kuchipudi dancer. With big bright eyes and and a pretty smile she made me her fan. .I got a chance to do her profile shoot at Khajuraho Festival of Dances  where she had performed.

Let me share my spiritual connection with Abhinaya then a beautiful friendship with the eminent dancer. I was shooting the event at Khajuraho festival of dances and she had to perform with two more amazing dancers of different classical dance forms. I saw Abhinaya from my view finder in a bright yellow and pink dress with beautiful traditional jewellery and make up, she was looking like a Goddess, I just could not remove my eyes from her.. with poised expression and a mudras, as she entered the stage and I saw her through my camera’s view finder I thought as if a beautiful Goddess coming down from heaven.

Any how I managed to click a few pics as she along with her co dances started performing, but slowly I was so mesmerized that I don’t even remember when I had stopped shooting pictures. I was just out of the world watching her perform, trying to stop my self from shedding tears or rather I would say I was trying to get my self back to this world.. having tears in my eyes and goose bums all over my feet got stuck to the ground and I stood at the very spot where I was shooting, I could not move a bit till her performance was over.
When she finished her performance and was coming from the back stage.. I simply ran towards her putting my full strength..I think at that moment I was totally out of the world and just wanted to meet her before she goes back .. yes! I thought she is a Goddess and she would go back, I wanted to check whether she was real or not. When I reached her she was taking to media personals in English with spectacles on her eyes.. I suddenly came back to world .. Yeh It sounds strange..but yes she made me feel out of the world and I had that great spiritual connection with her.

TURNING YOGI

he calmness was in the air and I was turning into a yogi ..
The atmosphere was serene and pious and the air is filled with the singing of abhangs.
Situated on the banks of  Indrayani River Alandi village is located 19 KM towards North from District head quarters Pune and 136 KM from State capital Mumbai.
Since ancient times, the village has been a shrine of Shiva as Siddheshwar, Lord of Spiritual Attainment. Today, the Alandi Jnanshewar temple is a major pilgrimage center, drawing hundreds of thousands of devotees on festival days. Alandi is also Popularly known as Devachi Alandi (God’s place) has samadhi and a temple of the Saint-poet Dynaeshwar.
pole with sculptures (1 of 1)I went to the sacred place with my parents who are devotes of Saint Dynaeshwar. while entering the premises which was the outer area of the temple, had a beautiful huge pole with big sculptures of birds and lion, at the bottom it has hug lions then eagle then peacock and then the pigeons.. I am yet to discover the mystery or mythology behind the the beautiful huge pole.
Then we came across big arches with tradition design with beautiful and bright yellow and red color, which was the path way towards the temple, surrounded with shops and villagers made me feel the freshness which we have lost in the city life. (photos added in the album)
old school method (1 of 1)There was one more things that amazed me and made remember the old days, villagers practicing  old school methods for day to day life .. for us which is now history .. such as a barber was shaving a person head with the old tool like knife ..(sorry don’t know the exact name for that) and that seriously amazed me.
Moving ahead crossing the market we finally reached the temple complex which has been built near the spot of Sant Dnyaneshwar’s samadhi. Over 700 years ago, Sant Dnyaneshwar took living samadhi here when he was just 21.
